The Gem downdraft cookware was specially designed to ensure a controlled steam release and directs the steam from inside the pot directly to the exhaust fan. This not only eliminates any lingering odors but also minimizes heat loss for energy-efficient cooking. Perfect fit for all cooktops, cooker hoods and downdraft exhaust systems. The universal lid can be used on both fry pan and has integrated air ducts in its silicone rim to stimulate the air flow. The lid can either be used to close off the pot in order to speed up the heating process, create a low pressure cooker and preserve the heat and flavors in the pot during cooking, or, when rotated 180 degrees, to let the air escape and guide the steam from inside the pot directly towards the downdraft vent. Constructed of surgical grade 18/10 Stainless steel for long lasting use. 11" fry pans comes with 18/10 Stainless Steel and 10" Fry Pan comes with high-quality non-stick coating for easy food release and clean-up. Both pans feature stay cool handles that have hanging loops for easy storage.
